RSD Supplies & Services was formed in May 1999 to
provide an improved service to both on and offshore facilities with General
Consumables, commonly known as Rope Soap & Dope.
In March 2000 we moved to new premises at Poynernook
Road which has allowed us to increase the size and range of our stockholding,
further enhancing our service to our clients. Our philosophy from the
outset has always been to offer our clients a First Class service from
knowledgeable, friendly staff, a full range of competitively priced goods
and second to none delivery - direct to your warehouse.
The Directors of RSD Supplies & Services Ltd, Bob
Cowie and Abbey McDonald, have between them over 40 years experience in
the supply of consumables. All of our staff have been handpicked for their
knowledge and dedication to their work and it is our aim to provide our
clients with a one-stop solution for their consumable requirements. We
ensure that there is adequate human resources and skills for all our staff
to operate efficiently and professionally through continual education
and training.
Quality Assurance - We keep a
comprehensive approved vendor list as part of our Quality Management System
and regularly review both the quality of the products we supply and the
performance of our vendors, to ensure that we maintain the standard of
goods we hold in stock. Our QMS is audited internally twice a year and
once a year by the Certifying Authority and we constantly monitor the
market place for improved or superior quality goods within our scope of
supply.
On offer to our clients is the facility to use us as
“Purchasing Agent”. This is a service which we find being
used more often by our clients to keep their vendor base down. We can
operate this service by various means which the client will find extremely
cost effective.
We are actively pursuing new areas to improve our service
to our clients. The areas we have identified are: e-Business Solutions,
Alliance Partnerships, EDI and Real Time Processing of MR/PO at RSD premises.
We believe that our clients would gain significant benefits from these
processes, mainly in their Procurement and Accounting Departments via
a reduction in the following areas: phone calls, faxes, delivery notes,
invoices/credit notes and statements.
